Airport Advisory Board

The Airport Advisory Board serves to help with the operation and oversight of the City of Allegan's Padgham Field Airport. 

  • Meets the first Monday of every month at 5:30pm at the Allegan Airport (740 Grand St., Allegan, MI 49010).

Downtown Development Authority
The Downtown Development Authority serves to promote economic growth and revitalization within Downtown Allegan. 

  • Meets the second Wednesday of every month at 8:00am at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010)

Economic Development Corporation
The Economic Development Corporation acts as a volunteer-based advisory board seeking to encourage and support the retention and growth of current local businesses, support city improvement projects, endeavor to draw additional business opportunities, and improve the quality of life for residents through increased access to commerce and services. 

  • Meets quarterly on the first Wednesday of February, May, August, and November at noon at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010), and other times as needed.

Historic District Commission
The Historic District Commission serves to protect, enhance, and perpetuate the historical and cultural significance of the buildings and sites that helped to shape the identify of Allegan. 

  • Meets the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010).

Public Spaces Commission
The Public Spaces Commission serves to recommend and approve the design of public spaces and amenities contained within, including, but not limited to, parks, streets, sidewalks, and public right of ways. 

  • Meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010)

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission serves to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of the City, and to make such revisions from time to time as conditions may require, including any areas outside of its boundaries which in the commission's judgement bear relation to the planning of the City. The Planning Commission also recommends zoning amendments and other land use changes to the City Council for their review.

Positively Allegan Corporation
The Positively Allegan Corporation serves as a charitable corporation organized to operate and promote community events and opportunities. 

  • Meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010)

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals hears appeals, evaluates requests for interpretation, and approves or denies dimensional and use variances to the zoning ordinance.

  • Meets as needed at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI 49010)
