Kanoe the Kazoo returns to Allegan!
An annual event since 2003, Kanoe the Kazoo has introduced over 1,000 area citizens to the beauty and recreational opportunities provided by the Kalamazoo River and its tributary streams and lakes. As we go to press, this year eight organizations are offering floats on various stretches of the Kalamazoo River, its tributaries and lakes within the watershed. The Regent Theatre, built in 1919, is an art deco theatre that currently shows first run movies on its big screen. Plus, the popcorn is always fresh at The Regent.
For close to 80 years, The Griswold has served as the community gathering place for a variety of entertainment events ranging from concerts to theatrical performances and recitals. Check out this quaint 714 seat auditorium next time you are in town, its a real treasure.
