Look at Us!
|
|
In
June volunteers organized through "Allegan NOW" gathered
for evenings of clean-up on the Riverfront Board Walk. Thank
You!
Through
landscape design efforts of the "Sparkle Committee", Water
Street improvements continue. Over 20 new beautiful new trees
were placed. Additional improvements are still to come!
Wave
the banner - that is, new downtown banners. Smaller versions of the
downtown logo banners have been placed along both River Boardwalk.
Enjoy a stroll...
Pardon
our dust as several downtown streets are resurfaced this
month. Tentatively, here is the construction schedule:
- By
Tuesday night the pavement removal on Trowbridge should be
completed.
- New
concrete curb and gutter should be going in where full pavement
removal took place on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Paving the
base layer of asphalt on the milled sections of road on this
Friday.
- The
pavers will return later next week, but the roads should be
graveled and open to traffic by the weekend.
Of course, weather or other unforeseen challenges could
alter this schedule, however, every effort is being made to complete the
project as quickly as possible.

Jubilee in Review
|
|
With picture perfect weather, and an expanded fireworks
display courtesy of the Downtown Development Authority, a jubilant time
was had by all. The addition of the new "Center Stage"
was a big hit with trivia prizes & great music. There was truly
something for everyone.
Many thanks to the July 3 Jubilee Planning Committee!
You did a fantastic job from before the first parade entry to the last
firecracker!

of their office to the downtown district. Effective August 1, the
Chamber's new home will be at 221 Trowbridge Street, Suite B. We will be
in the red brick building next door to the Regent Theater.
The larger space will allow us to better serve the downtown

Watch for details on a ribbon-cutting ceremony leading into a
"Business After Ours" celebration.
Great plans are in the works for the Chamber's future!
Our contact information will stay the same. Please bear with us while we
